The hockey-centric Hockey Night In Canada series is back, and it’s about to be even better.
It’s already happening with the “The Answer” (with its new name and new title) and now we’ve got a new addition to the series, “The Show” (the name is a little misleading).
“The Show,” as the new season begins on Saturday, April 6, is a hockey talk show that will be broadcast live by NHL Network.
It will feature two-hour segments and will feature guests from across the NHL and from all corners of the world.
“The answer” will be hosted by former NHL players such as Wayne Gretzky, Claude Lemieux, Gordie Howe, Mark Messier, Gord McRae, Doug Gilmour, Steve Yzerman, and Dave Taylor.
It is the brainchild of former NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, and is set to be broadcast on NHL Network beginning with “The Challenge.”
The NHL Network has been working with Hockey Night and Sportsnet to develop and deliver its next-generation of NHL content.
We will be featuring a mix of interviews, podcasts, analysis, live events and more in “The Question.”
“The Answer,” which debuted in April 2016, has been the longest-running Hockey Night host in history, with a total of 18 seasons.
It has been featured on Sportsnet, CBC, CBC Sports, and Sportscentre, among others.
The series has also garnered several awards and a number of nominations.
It is the most-watched Hockey Night show in Canada, averaging nearly 14 million viewers a night.
In 2016-17, the show earned its third-highest ratings in Canada.
This is the third time the series has been renewed for a fourth season, and the sixth time that it has been re-airing on NHL.ca.
In addition to featuring new hosts and a host of former hockey stars, ” The Answer” will feature former NHLers, as well as some familiar faces from the NHL’s past.
These include:Mark Messier of the Montreal Canadiens, Craig Anderson of the Calgary Flames, Brian Campbell of the Winnipeg Jets, Gordy Howe of the Edmonton Oilers, Wayne Gretza of the Detroit Red Wings, Gord McKenzie of the New York Islanders, Mark Fayne of the Ottawa Senators, Joe Sakic of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Wayne Grety of the St. Louis Blues.
In addition to Messier and Campbell, former NHL stars will include: Wayne Gretzer of the Los Angeles Kings, Steve McQueen of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Claude Giroux of the Dallas Stars, and Jaromir Jagr of the Minnesota Wild.
The series is being produced by Hockey Night Canada.
